Description: | Saturday 7th December 2024 at 7.30 pm in the Haslemere Hall OSGOOD Magnificat (Clare Loosley, soprano) BLAKE The Snowman: Concert version, Op.323 (Logan Broom, treble. David Greenwood, Narrator) RUTTER Shepherd's Pipe Carol HOLST Christmas Day (Choral Fantasy on Old Carols) This concert contains traditional audience-pleasers as well as contemporary works. The Society is able to show case one of its members, Tim Milford, in Haydn's Trumpet Concerto and with Holst's Christmas Day the concert will herald the festive season. There are two contemporary works - Clive Osgood's Magnificat and Blake's 'The Snowman' Clive is the Society's Accompanist and Assistant Chorus Master and the 'Magnificat' is one of his most recent compositions. The version of 'The Snowman' which will be performed is the soundtrack to the film complete with Narrator and boy soloist to sing 'Walking in the Air'. Ticket prices are the same as last season - £18.50, £16 and £8 (under 18.s half price) plus Haslemere Hall booking fee.
